OTHERS

Personality

I'm easygoing, approachable, and can chat comfortably with most colleagues and students. When it comes to work, I have a bit of that tough perseverance spirit; but in life, I just go with the flow.

Research Interests

I have long been engaged in research on industrial clusters, corporate strategy, and innovation, with my recent scholarly output heavily concentrated in these areas.

Where My Students Go

Most of my students aim for PhD programs. My alumni have gone on to prestigious institutions like BI Norwegian Business School, Aalto University in Finland, China University of Political Science and Law, and South China University of Technology.

Who I'm Looking For

I only recruit students with whom I have a connection: If you are humorous, diligent, a non-smoker, possess strong writing skills, are fluent in English, don't blame others for your setbacks, and can grit your teeth and persist through adversity, then we probably, perhaps, and maybe have a connection.

A Fair Warning

Research is full of hardship and uncertainty. Walking this path with me is tough, so choose me as your supervisor with caution. But rest assured, I strictly reject toxic mentorship (PUA). I don't encourage working late hours or spreading anxiety. As long as you treat your thesis as your own passion project rather than a chore for your supervisor, I will often 'deadpan' tell you that 'this is the final revision' right before asking for 'one more round.'

Languages

Chinese (native), English (fluent), Norwegian (basic).
